Ice bathing in Tiefenbronn: an experience for body and soul

Last Saturday, a small group of seven colleagues embarked on an exciting experiment: ice bathing. This challenge is currently very much in vogue and not only strengthens the immune system, but also has numerous positive effects on our mental health. The benefits of ice bathing are manifold, including helping to reduce inflammation and relieve stress. It also promotes mental strength by teaching us how to deal with unpleasant situations.

It is crucial to prepare mentally in advance to develop the right “mindset”. This worked very well for everyone present and everyone stayed in the 3 degree cold water for as long as they could stand it. 

Afterwards, there was hot tea, coffee and pretzels to warm up.

In the end, ice swimming was not only a physical challenge, but also a valuable shared experience and great fun for everyone!
